About this site

ukdemographics.co.uk is an independent demographic research project by Tom Pickup. It presents publicly available government data with independent analysis and demographic projections.

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or funded by any government body, political party, council, or campaign organisation.

Data sources and licensing

This site uses data published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), Home Office, Department for Education (DfE), NHS Digital, and other public bodies. This data is Crown Copyright and is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Source attribution is provided throughout the site and on the Sources page.

Accuracy and projections

All reasonable care has been taken to ensure accuracy. However:

• Demographic projections are statistical estimates, not predictions. They show what would happen if recent trends continued unchanged. They are not forecasts of what will happen.
• Data is sourced from official publications which may themselves contain errors, revisions, or methodological changes between releases.
• Analysis and commentary represent one interpretation of the data. Other reasonable interpretations may exist.
• Content may become outdated as new data is published. Check the data freshness indicators and "last updated" dates on each page.

Do not rely on this site as the sole basis for any decision. For authoritative data, go to the original source (ONS, Home Office, etc.) linked on every page.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content, whether direct, indirect, or consequential. This includes but is not limited to loss arising from errors in data, projections, or analysis.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
